Booking Information

We offer 3, 4, 7 and 10 night stays and our quotation includes gas, electric and fresh clean bed linen* along with the hire of the caravan.  

* There are a limited number of caravans that require you to bring your own bed linen. We will notify you of this.

Booking rate

The rate charged is for the caravan and not per person.

 

Booking lead

You will be asked to supply your name, address, contact tel no and email address along with the names and ages of all persons staying at the caravan.

 

Who’s in your party. 

Only those people on your booking can occupy your holiday home or pitch and anyone not named on your booking will be asked to leave the park. In these circumstances no refund or compensation will be given. 

 

Numbers in your party. 

The total number in your party (including children and babies) must not exceed the maximum capacity of the holiday home or pitch advertised.

 

Pets

We welcome your house trained pets at some of our caravans. A maximum of two dogs are permitted per booking. A charge of £25 on top of your holiday rate will be made for all pets from September 2021.

We accept registered assistance dogs in all of our holiday homes and in all areas of our parks. This means that we can’t guarantee we’ve never had any dogs in any of our accommodation. 

 

Covid-19

We are required to obtain information from all guests ahead of arrival regarding Covid-19.  You will be issued a form template to complete at  the earliest 48 hours before arrival.

Due to these unprecedented times you are welcome to bring your own bedding, but bedding is supplied free of charge so there will be no discount to the advertised hire price.

Payment Terms

1) £50 non refundable booking fee secures your booking, which will be taken off the holiday rate (active from August 2021).

2) Balance of hire must be paid 8 weeks prior to your arrival. We do not send reminders and unfortunately, due to the demand for our caravans, your booking will automatically cancel once the payment date expires.  If you have booked a cancellation or a last minute deal and you are staying less than 4 weeks before full payment is required to confirm the booking.

3) Early check in may be available at a rate of £25 and this enables a 1 pm arrival. Please note: early check in's are not guaranteed.

 

When arranging payment, please make sure you put your booking reference number/full name on the payment and NOT “caravan” as this does not identify you personally.

Please let us know if you wish your payment details to be removed from our payment processor secure banking software following completion of your holiday. Or, to remain on file for future reference.

Travel Insurance - You don't need UK travel insurance for medical cover, because your treatment's free with the NHS. But it could compensate you for other unexpected problems with your trip, including: Cancellation and curtailment. Travel insurance is something you should take out as soon as you've booked your holiday. 

Cancellation

If you decide to cancel your holiday and there are no extenuating circumstances all monies paid will be forfeited - except for any bond paid as this will be refunded (for applicable bookings in 2021 season only). Extenuating circumstances such as: Covid-19, bereavement, hospital admissions etc. - which may be refunded following the submission of  official documentation. If you wish to transfer your booking to another date, no penalties will apply.

Cancellation charges as follows:

28 days or less 100%

56-29 days 80% of holiday rate - the non refundable booking fee.

70-57 days 60% -  the non refundable booking fee.

more than 70 days.

 

Non refundable booking fee - This administration fee is called a booking fee and contained in your holiday rate. If you need to cancel  your holiday, the non refundable booking fee can be used towards a booking in the same or next season.

On Arrival

Your accommodation will be available from 4pm on your arrival day. If you think you may arrive after 7pm  please let us know. 

We will contact you with directions to the park and the caravan you are staying in. There is no need to queue in reception; you are able to go straight to the caravan and you will be met there. 

Please note: If after 24 hours of your expected arrival date, you have not communicated a late arrival, your booking will be automatically cancelled and your caravan may be released for rehire.

 

Parking

There is parking alongside the caravan for a vehicle. We respectfully ask that you do not park on the road as wide loads move through the park daily. There are additional parking spaces located in the main car park.

General Information

  • Please respect your neighbours - the caravan's are not built like home and music which may be suitable for you - may not be your neighbours taste, so please keep the volume at a reasonable level.

  • It is important to report any issues with your caravan on arrival to the contact details listed in your final confirmation email.

  • If there is any furniture/mattress soiling, please notify the owner immediately so that remedial action can be taken to ensure the remainder of your stay is comfortable and the caravan is ready for the next guests.

  • Please do not use adhesives such as sellotape, blue tac any where inside/outside the caravan.

  • We do not charge for Gas and Electric, so please use sensibly so that we can continue to share this benefit without charge. It is advised that the heating is set to economy setting. If in doubt, please check with the owner..

  • No BBQs to be used on decking area.

 

Security

Owners on park have no influence over security matters and adhere to the same rules as guests. If you are  asked to leave park, you will not be eligible for a part refund of the fees paid. You are kindly asked to respect park rules for your enjoyment and that of other holiday makers.

On Departure

The caravan will need to be vacated by 10am on the day of your departure. Please ensure that the caravan is left as you found it and that the following is carried out:

  • All beds stripped and put into their pillow cases and left on the floor

  • Fridge and Freezer emptied

  • Rubbish removed from caravan to appropriate park bin

  • Heating is turned off

  • Lighting turned off (inside and outside)

  • Outside furniture covered and secure

  • Windows fully closed

  • Door is locked on leaving

  • Caravan is secure

  • Key returned

Holly's First Stop Caravan Shop is an owner cooperative who rent out their caravans to holiday makers. We are responsible for the hire of the caravan and to ensure it is clean and welcoming for you.
